Difference Between 3rd Berth Available and 3rd & 4th Available

I am booking another cruise, just 3 days after returning from the first one!

We are looking at the new Jewel and was wondering what the difference is between 3rd berth available and 3rd or 4th berth available

There will be three of us, 2 adults and 1 child (4yo)

Last cruise our son had no problem sleeping up top and never fell out, in fact he refused to sleep down below. Which meant hubby and I had single beds, quite fun actually

Do you think with the 3rd available we could push the beds together?

On the cabin and deck layouts page of the P&O 2009/2011 1st edition book, it says: Note: Twin bed cannot be converted to a queen-size bed if the 3rd or 4th berths are occupied.

Have fun looking for your next holiday.......

Hi Yulara,

So you had a ball then. How did your son go in his formal outfit?

We came back looking to book our next cruise too. We haven't found the right one yet.

Hope you have a great time again next year.

Cheers

Clive

I figured out the difference. I was just looking at the Ocean Village Two website and it says

(Circle) shows cabins with the option of a 3rd berth using a single sofa bed (AA grade) or foldaway bed (DD, EE, JJ and LL grades)

We booked a DD outside cabin #9199 and it has this option!

So it seems we would be able to have our son in a foldaway bed after all!
