PCruzer Posted November 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2009 Our cruise brochure says we will arrive in Honolulu at 8:00 am. There are shore excursions scheduled that leave at 8:00 am. I want to do an independent tour, but the tour operator would pick me up at the ship at 8:30 am. Do you think this is cutting it too close? If the brochure says arrival at 8:00 am, does that mean you can actually get off the ship by that time?
JGaleCPA Posted November 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2009 That may be the official arrival time, but I have never been on a ship that did not arrive much earlier than the official time, often around 4-6am. When we were on POA this summer, there were lots of people walking off the ship by 8am. I'd go ahead and book it.
PCruzer Posted November 9, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted November 9, 2009 Thanks for the info. I think I will book that independent tour. It's with Hawaiian Escapades....a tour of the filming sites of the TV show LOST. I'm a big fan. Can't wait!!
JGaleCPA Posted November 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2009 Have a ball. Hawaii was gorgeous, I just we could move it closer to the East Coast!
