Assigned seating for 10

We are thinking of NCL for New Years but require assigned seating as we are a family of 10.Is this possible or should we look at another cruise line for this option?

NCL does offer assigned seating if you want it - that is part of free style. You just have to set it up when you arrive. check with the reservation people once on board.

There is not assigned seating but you can certainly make a dining room reservation either daily or a standing reservation for a party of ten once you are on board. Besides the beauty of free style is what if two or four of the ten want to eat somewhere else some night? with Free style that is easy.

On a family cruise, we had the same issie, in fact, the same party of 10...we would make reservations at the MDRs everyday. We would have to wait a little bit sometimes for our table to be ready, but it really was not an issue.

All I'm gonna say is if this is actually adult siblings or something like that cruising together, don't expect everyone to always dine together for dinner.

 

We had 12 of us: parents, one couple no children and two couples with 2 children each. We never had more than 8 at dinner at the same time because someone always had something slightly different going on. Especially with the kids sometimes being tired or hungry at different times, or people taking different excursions or activities. Plus, some of us never would have committed to eating dinner together every night, sometimes we wanted some time to ourselves as couples/individual families. After all, it is supposed to be a vacation. ;)

We sailed as a party of 10, 2 years ago on the Spirit. As advised previously, you need to make reservations everynight. They do not offer an assigned option.
