double beds

We are looking at doing an Antarctia cruise the spring of 2011 and have been looking at different ships. Most of them have 2 double beds in the cabins. Can these beds be pushed togather or do they need to be kept separate?

Sorry I meant 2 twin beds not double.

Ok maybe I need to get more specific. On the Fram can the twin beds be pushed together as in all the pictures I can find they are separate. Thanks!
