Carnival-Iron in rooms?

With formal night and having to wear button up shirts to dinner, are there irons in the rooms?

No, and please don't bring one with you.

 

As a new cruiser, you may want to read through some of Carnival's FAQ. It is often easier to find answers there than to post here and wait for answers, which will either all say the same thing or will all tell you something different! :p

Go down to "laundry service" to see the question about self-serve laundry (which is where the iron and ironing board are located).

Go to the Carnival section and select your ship. Under the little profile pic of the ship you should see the word "extras" to the right of the page. Click that, and above it you will see "Cabin Details by Deck." Select your deck. A new window will open. At the top, you'll see the info for locations of laundry and any vending.

No irons allowed, but you can bring steamers. I never bother, just live with a few wrinkles (our clothes don't seem to wrinkle all that much in the suitcases), but some people do bring them.

There tend to be wash/iron rooms on every other floor (or something like that) with Carnival ... you can't bring your own, but at least they are available if you truly want one (unlike some other lines). Don't forget, your bathroom with shower on "hot" is also a good steamer .... ;)

You also dont want to wait til formal night to iron the clothes either- there will be a line most of the day

I always read this on here, but I've never had an issue. At most there was one person ahead of me. Still not bad advice...get it over with when you first unpack.

part of the reason we unpack as fast as possible is to prevent as much wrinkling as we can. Typically by the time formal night comes on the second night if we have packed them ok and put them in the bathroom with a steamy shower running all is well

I am on vacation, I don't iron! We send dh's suit out if need be(room steward can take this) - it's half the price of cleaning to have it pressed.

Packing using dry cleaner bags work wonders. If not available try the large kitchen trash bags and layer your clothes in the suitcases

Many of the Carnival ships have laundry rooms for the guests to use, with irons! Check the deck plans for your ship!
