Peachie1 Posted June 24, 2010 #1151 Share Posted June 24, 2010 I am not sure how to post this but figure other people seem interested so will post it here. First a little backround. I had asked Mach about when the comedy clubs would be going fleetwide as indicated by the manager of the Glory one. Had asked this question of John some weeks ago but I did not ask for a John please reply and figured he had passed me by. Than I asked Mach for his help. Mach you had told me that they were not sure it was going fleetwide but two more are just now getting it and now they are considering it for the Liberty in the future. Yesterday my letter was posted in John's blog (first letter) and in his answer did not mention or answer my question. Being the pain that I am sent a follow up comment to John. This morning the following was posted. Kim Harrison added a new comment to the post Magic...Sealed With A Kiss. Kim Harrison said on Magic...Sealed With A Kiss June 24, 2010 at 7:05 am Carnival Comedy Club Starts on The Carnival Liberty in July! Hope to see you there! Who is Kim Harrison? Great news if this is true as we are going on the Liberty in October and the comedy club is awesome! Kim Harrison is one of the Comedianne's that travel the CCL. She is absolutely hilarious, one of the funniest woman I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. She will have you rolling in the aisles laughing. Hope you get the chance to see this jewel!! This is Kim (in the middle...) from one of my voyages on the Conquest a few years back: The email that I posted was from the Director of Onboard Programming for Carnival. Not to take anything away from Kim at all but I think that he as a better handle on the situation. :)
cerabella Posted June 24, 2010 #1153 Share Posted June 24, 2010 Mach, I know you have done both itineraries on the Carnival Conquest...this fall will be my sixth time on her, all Western..(ninth cruise in all)...DH & I are trying to decide if we really want to do the Bahamas, as we've never been there...have been to Key West, loved it...sooo, altho I know this is a subjective question, if you had to choose, which one would you pick? As there are five more ships scheduled for Nassau, (the week of Sept 5), will that be too many peeps? Any suggestions would be appreciated as I would like to book this week, & I don't personally know anyone else to ask!? Thanks a million!

arush5268d Posted June 24, 2010 #1158 Share Posted June 24, 2010 Mach, here's a question for ya. How full was the T/A for our Carnival Dream? I'm interested in doing the TA for our Carnival Magic, but am not in a position now to commit to it - and I'd hate to have the ship full by the time I can book. I'm not a fan of Nassau but we did have a good time on Freeport. We did a day at the Wyhndam Viva Fortuna AI and had a great time. That said, I prefer the western. I love MoBay and it's tough to find a better beach than 7 Mile on Grand Cayman, as I'm sure you know. :)

I talked to a number of folks who did the TA and they pretty much agreed that the ship wasn't close to full... perhaps 3100 people... :)

*Mach* Posted June 26, 2010 Author #1168 Share Posted June 26, 2010 That was quick - thanks. I just need to know how much money I need out of the bank before we leave:) Here you go, Linda... Current guidance to Carnival casino managers is that they should always maintain one regular blackjack plus the blackjack variants, Fun 21 and Face Up, at $5. The remaining regular blackjack games will start the cruise at $10 and the limits may be adjusted down, or up, according to the level of demand. So, there will ALWAYS be at least one BJ table at $5... perhaps more... :)
LindaJSteele Posted June 26, 2010 #1169 Share Posted June 26, 2010 YES! Thank you so much for finding out the answer. I don't like the "fun" variants, but I definitely will play at the regular one. I'm happy to know that "all the fun" won't be taken out of my casino experience. Now if I could just win that BJ tournament:) Thanks again! kimba6539 Posted June 28, 2010 #1174 Share Posted June 28, 2010 Mach, I am sure you will know the answer to my question. If your category is sold out, there is no chance for a price drop, correct? Didn't want to waste my time checking anymore on Carnival's website and be happy with the price that I paid:p Thanks! Kim

Didn't want to waste my time checking anymore on Carnival's website and be happy with the price that I paid:p Thanks! Kim That's correct... if there are no more cabins available in your category you can not get a price drop. If you see something amazing, like an 8B is selling for less than you paid for your 6D, it wouldn't hurt to contact your PVP and ask about the chance of an upgrade. :)
