moondoggie Posted January 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2005 OK, we've done five Caribbean X cruises, loved every one of 'em. Now we're going on Mercury to the Mexican Riviera, but wonder if we need to pack warmer clothing, especially for walking the decks in the evening. In the Caribbean shorts and polo shirts were fine, but will we need long pants and sweatshirts for the MR? Thanks!
Perki Posted January 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2005 This cruise is a mixed bag, while in the waters off CA heading to/from Mexico it is cool, even during the day 90% are in sweatshirts, year round, not much sunning during this part of the cruise. But once you are in the Mexican waters it warms right up real similar to Caribbean, so need to pack for both.
mii Posted January 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2005 Totally agree with Perki: When you leave either San Francisco or L.A. it is cool out on the deck, but once you go more down south it does get warmer. So pack for both. Marilyn
