leighi123 Posted December 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2009 They have a bbq lunch yes? Are there vegetarian options? The only thing I saw was beans, but that ofen has lard or bacon in it. Also do they have options for people with allergies like they do on the ship? My son has to have a special diet so Im wondering what he will be able to eat. Is it possible to make special arrangments to make sure he will have something, or will we have to go back to the ship for lunch?
cb at sea Posted December 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2009 If you've informed them of any "allergies", then they should be able to steer you to the proper foods. There are PLENTY of things that don't have "lard" or "bacon" in them! We had corn on the cob, beans, potato salad, cole slaw, lettuce salads/tomatos, etc.....there seemed to be alot of non-meat options. Of course, some things may not be avail. since they have to "ferry' the food from the ship to the beach....in that case, it's not hard to return to the ship, then come back to the beach! Either way, there's no need to go hungry!
