Will the friendly and efficient staff on the MSC Poesia pack lunches to go for intrepid passengers who want to stay ashore for as long as possible?

I doubt it since it is not allowed to remove any meats, fruit from the ship to the shore and visa versa. Take some packaged stuff if you get the need to eat while on shore.

Interesting rationale. Princess had no problem with providing lunches to go in Cabo or PVR.

"Intrepid passengers" would spring for $20 and have lunch at a local venue in a foreign land rather than bring a ham sandwich from a cruise ship.

Last October while on Disney, the boards said they offered "bagged Lunches" but they told us laws prohibit the taking off and the bringing on of fruits, veggies, meats... so they just gave water instead.

 

Poesia did not offer this on Nov, 20 cruise either....Eat ashore matey !!
