Its what some call a walk up, you enter from the outside, walkway. No inside corridor. One section is across the ocean, so that is a big plus, but for sure not fancy.

Check in is at rear of motel.

Vehicles can enter from east side of motel in rear of motel.......

or as firefly said ..........

Park in front and walk to rear thru walkway!

So , Am I interpreting right , If I stay at Galvez or Tremont for a couple nights pre cruise I can park @ galvez free while we are away?

Sorta free... we did have to pay for the valet parking at the Tremont for the one night we were there ($12 sounds about right). The valet was in/out priviledges, and we'd have paid it either way not to be leaving our car on the street. We stayed on a Sunday night and there was very little activity in the area afterdark. Anyway, just tell the front desk your intentions and they'll arrange it for you.

Galvez charges $15 for valet parking and you can leave your vehicle for the week- covered parking at no additional charge with free shuttle to/from the port. Pretty good deal I think.
