jam82 Posted January 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2010 We will be cruising on the Freedom to San Juan, St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau. Are the port times listed from Carnival local time or EST? I called Carnival and they said they are EST, but they didn't really seem sure so I thought I'd ask here. BeerBuckets Posted January 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2010 Every cruise I've been on keeps the same time zone as the port they leave from.
Plant Posted January 15, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2010 I can't give you a definitive answer, but I will say not to go by anything the "customer service" people tell you  ! The time change is up to the Captain of the ship. Sometimes it changes, sometimes it doesn't. I would guess that you'll change to Central time sometime between SJ and St. T, but I wouldn't bet on it! If you're booking an excursion on your own, the people who run it should know when you'll be in port. Be sure to check the clock on your way off the ship. Set your watch to ship's time and pay no attention to local time.
