Cruising Splendour, cruising Europe

Considering booking a spring cruise on the Splendour. Sailed over 20 cruises in the Caribbean on RCCL and have traveled extensively throughout Europe but never cruised the region.

 

• What have been your experiences regarding the different types of suites on Splendour? We will be four (two adults in their 50s, one mid-20s adult, and one adult over 70) and would like to stay in the same cabin OR two similar suites.

• How have your experiences been cruising RCCL in Europe? Any must-do excursions? Any excursions to avoid?

We've been on the Splendour in August 2007, cruising the eastern med and we had a blast.

 

We really enjoyed our cruise, the service was excellent and the ports are great.

 

But it might have changed a little since there.

 

We've been on the Navigator last August and we were a bit disappointed by all the cut backs .. the service was not as excellent as it used to be, especially regarding the very high cruise fares in Europe vs. Carribbean

 

Just try to avoid sailing from Italy when they have school holidays there ;)
