joejenna1 Posted January 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2010 I have noticed that it states on Costas website that there are no service charges for children under 14 and children between 14 and 17 are charged half of the adult rate for the Costa Fortuna FT Lauderdale sailings. Can anyone confirm this? I spoke with Costa and they stated that the child rates are 7.50 per day. I told Costa that their website states different and I wont pay for something I didnt agree too! I will print their website policy and bring it with me.
guxu Posted January 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2010 There is a way to pay 0 tip. However, in most cases, they provide excellent services and deserve the full tips.
Gaynors Posted January 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2010 We sailed Dec 09 on the Atlantica (Eastern Caribbean) and had no tips automatically added to our onboard account for our 6 and 9 year old children. Tips or service charge of $77 each was added for each adult in the room. Unless their policy changed on Jan 1st, they have not added tips to our account for children on either of our Caribbean Costa sailings (2007 and 2009). I hope this helps.
