kath00 Posted January 31, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2010 We have a 24h hold on 2 rooms on the Mariner for Feb 21st. Is it going to be warm enough to swim in the pools down in Mexico (or in the Ocean once we get to port)? The average temperatures look like they are around 75 with a range from 61-85! That's quite a range. Are people swimming on their MX cruises right now? Thanks! Katherine
relaxandenjoy Posted January 31, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2010 Absolutely! I've done more than my fair share of swimming down there in February.
sjb317 Posted January 31, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2010 We were on the Mariner last February, the ports in Mexico were definitely warm enough to swim. Weather was great. However, coming up the coast to LA was windy and not as warm. Not very many people were brave enough to swim and quite a few people were in jackets and long pants. Katherine It may be a tad cool the very first and last day, but the rest of the cruise will be more than warm enough to swim in the pools. As far as the ocean goes, in February it will be around 70 degrees, which isn't freezing, but I need the ocean to be at least 80 to be comfortable. jbwaterski Posted January 31, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2010 I noticed the OP is from SanDiego. And the 2 who said it will be warm enough are from Wisconsin (hi sis) and Indiana. "Warm Enough" to the OP may be different than to us "notherners." Just a thought
