deedoo Posted May 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2004 After disembarcation, are there taxis available at the terminal? Also, is there a shuttle from the Light-Rail station adjacent to Cape Liberty to the terminal?
cruise pup Posted May 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2004 I was told by Royal Caribbean that there is no shuttle to the light railway station at this time. No one took them up on the offer. How could anyone take them up. It isn't mentioned in the documents, on line or in a brochure. A cab shouldn't cost much from the station. If you go here you can see the list of taxi companies. Make sure you have their numbers because they don't seem to cruise for fares: http://www.bayonnenj.org/taxi.htm Norway - 2/97;Leeward -12/97; Grand Princess - 1/99; Leeward - 6/99; Dawn Princess - 11/99;Vision of the Seas - 6/00;Carnival Victory - 9/00; Zenith - 10/00 Mercury - 3/01; R1 -7/01; Grand Princess - 11/01; Majesty of the Seas - 12/01; Norwegian Star - 3/02; Carnival Triumph - 7/02; Maasdam - 11/02; Holiday - 12/02; Millennium - 4/03; Carnival Victory - 7/03; Zaandam - 8/03; Zuiderdam - 10/03; Enchantment of the Seas - 1/04; Galaxy - 3/04; QM2 - 5/
karen_cpa Posted May 24, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 24, 2004 There is a PATH station in Bayonne, but unfortunately it is a good mile or two from the terminal. The terminal is a little weird - you turn down the block that the terminal is on, but you are on a road for about a mile or so before you come upon the terminal area. The PATH station is at the corner of where you turn off 440. Voyager of the Seas - 05/04 Tahitian Princess - 10/03 (Our Honeymoon) Carnival Paradise - 08/02 Plus . . . An Open Booking with Princess!! MindyBrum Posted May 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2004 Has anyone ridden the Light Rail, then taken a cab from that location to the ship. I'm worried about the "availability" of a cab for that short distance and the approximate wait time for them to arrive. Any ideas? Anyone tried it yet? travellady Posted May 24, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 24, 2004 We plan on taking a taxi from the port up to the Sheraton Suites in Weehawken. Does anybody have any idea what the cost for that ride should be - 2 adults and 1 child.
