Thestral Posted February 6, 2010 #26 Share Posted February 6, 2010 Thank you so much CinWin!! I really appreciate it. Seems like I left plenty of time to catch the early show the night I booked the supper club. Now, hopefully the hole in the boat won't wreck things! :D:D:D:D:D

CruiseJunkie4 Posted February 7, 2010 #29 Share Posted February 7, 2010 We went to Costa Rica, Panama and Belize on the Miracle. I thought the Miracle had the best tasting food of all the ships I had been on. We had such a nice time that we're going to cruise her again in February 2011 to Grand Turk, Dominican Republic, Curacao and Aruba. Although I prefer the layout of the Conquest class ships, the Miracle was an excellent cruise.
willy32465 Posted February 7, 2010 #30 Share Posted February 7, 2010 I'll be on the 6/24 sailing out of NY:D Sooo excited. Ports of call are Puerto Rico, St Thomas and Grand Turk. I was very excited about this itinerary...and still am....One question though..... Did i make a mistake by not booking the normal route....turk, private island and nassau. I have been to Nassau....BUT is the private island really dumb to miss. They only do my itinerary 3x this year apparently..... What do you think. Thanks K No you didn't make a mistake. A cruise is what you make it. If you get the chance to go to Half Moon Cay jump at that. You will love it. I was not impressed with Puerto Rico but Nassau and Grand Turk are very nice. We did nighttime horseback riding in San Juan. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS! Grand Turk we jus shopped and sat on beach. Nassau we did Sandals once , Atlantis once and the Island Tour. Any questions ask away. Enjoy your trip
rtgarrett Posted February 7, 2010 #31 Share Posted February 7, 2010 I will be on the same sailing.... i feel like you in a way, Half Moon Cay is the probably the best place i have ever been to. However, Nassau is not much of a stop. I think this cruise will be great!!!
VickiD59 Posted February 7, 2010 #32 Share Posted February 7, 2010 Going on the Miracle this July 18th with a family group of 12 of us (more to come I hope). Sailing out of NYC was a big draw for us, no plane flights to coordinate etc, but for the month of July, there weren't very many cruise choices. The PR, St. Thomas, Grand Turk itinerary had the most "we've never been there before" options for our group. Other than my immediate family (hubby and (2) 20 somethin sons), everyone else in our party has cruised many times, so we sort of let them pick the destination. I've been reading everything possible on all the ports to try and plan a course of action. I don't want to be too structered in arranging excursions that we're locked into something, but then I don't want to wing it either and then miss out because we didn't plan ahead. Puerto Rico doesn't really seem like it has anything to do? I keep reading about, "walking and shopping". Is it worth getting off the ship if that's all there is to do? Excursions seem like they can get costly, especially with a big group of people. I just don't wanna go overboard (YIKES!) with the planning and realize we made poor, albeit expensive choices. Anyone have any suggestions, I'd love to hear any points of view re: our ports of call. Vicki :)

We are cruising June 16th. Very excited. Just was wondering about the main staff. This will be the first time cruising in the summer we usually go in the winter to get away from the snow and cold. :)

larrymeador Posted February 8, 2010 #36 Share Posted February 8, 2010 Has anyone been on the Miracle for the Panama, Costa Rica, and Belize route. Any reviews or suggestions would be nice. fourcruisin Posted February 8, 2010 #37 Share Posted February 8, 2010 We've did Bannister Island last year in Belize. Have also done Goff's Caye and the Altun Ha/River Wallace tour. Loved Bannister Island the best and 2nd was Altun Ha/River tour. Panama, we've done a private tour and then the ship sponsored RR tour. I would opt for a private tour. Costa Rica - we did a couple of River ride excursions both ship sponsored.
CrusinCyndi Posted February 8, 2010 #38 Share Posted February 8, 2010 I will be going on the Miracle for the 2nd time for the February 16th sailing. I can't wait as she is a wonderful ship to be on. Only 7 more days..Yeah
Sprint Posted February 8, 2010 #39 Share Posted February 8, 2010 There was a mini-fridge in our balcony cabin. It had the usual assortment of mini-bars items. You operate the safe with a credit card, or any other card with a magnetic strip. My wife and I were on the ship when it hit the pier. I was working out and did not feel the bump. Heck of a couple of holes in the ship though. Carnival cruises continue to be excellent travel options. I just wish the company that operates the casinos would train their dealers to be more friendly, and ditch those horrible continuous shuffle machines. Oh, and install an ice cream machine closer to the casino. The art glass around the ship is very interesting and beautiful. If you get the chance to visit St. Lucia and St. Kitts, jump at that opportunity! We're going on the Miracle (southern) in March......what is the best things to do in those ports???? St. Marten, St. Lucia, St. Kitts. Thank you!
Sprint Posted February 8, 2010 #40 Share Posted February 8, 2010 Has anyone been on the Miracle for the Panama, Costa Rica, and Belize route. Any reviews or suggestions would be nice. We are going on our 8th Carnival Cruise on the April 5th cruise. Yes, we did that tour 2 years ago. Fabulous! Unfortunately we didn't make it to Costa Rica as there was port strike and we were diverted to Honduras instead. Do the cavetubing in Belize. Incredible! We did a private tour for this. And definitely do the Gatun Locks in Panama. We just rented a cab in Panama.....a bit sketchy, but worked out well in the end.

hill6 Posted February 28, 2010 #46 Share Posted February 28, 2010 If you sail out of NYC be sure to be on the Starboard (right) side of the ship about 30 minutes after sailing. You will have a wonderful view of the Statue of Liberty.

CANT WAIT!!!!! :D Very much looking forward to a ship bigger than the Ispiration with about the same amount of people and smaller than the Freedom, easier to get around, especially with my teen kids!!! Some day would LOVE to go out of NYC. The summer months when my kids have no school the prices are SOOOOOOOOO high, could not swing it! We booked the Thanksgiving cruise back in October so happy we did the price has gone up soooooo much since we booked! Love that the Miracle has 3 pools plus the slide and kiddie pool! SWEET! ;)
GolferGal2 Posted March 4, 2010 #49 Share Posted March 4, 2010 Lydia B, Any chance you doing Spencer's tour in St. Lucia on Tue., Mar 16? If so, would you be interested in doing the water taxi back to the ship after beach/snorkel time. Daughter and I want more time at beach for snorkeling and would need to take water taxi back but don't want to pay for just the two of us (expensive). If there are four or more people, it's $30.00. vicki
