Cost of a taxi from POM to FLL

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of how much a taxi would cost to get us from POM to FLL post cruise? There will be 3 of us, so we wouldn't need a van. Also, can we just grab a cab once we get off the ship, or do I have to call in advance and reserve one?

$75-$85. Any one of a huge fleet of cabs at POM would be delighted to drive you to FLL. No reservation necessary.

Great, thanks for the info. We booked an early flight out of FLL and I think this will be our best option for getting to the airport without having to wait around for a shuttle to be filled before we can take off.

Another option is Sun and Moon Express (Edwin Gonzales). You can reserve with him--he'll be there waiting for you. We used him from MIA to FLL at 10 om on a weeknight. He was great! All the advantages of a shuttle (lots of room), but it's a private reservation. Cost was $60 for two. Google him and see........:)

We took the taxi from Port of Miami to FLL three weeks ago... $87 including tip... light traffic...no delays... quick and painless...no reservations ...just got the taxi immediately when getting off the ship...

 

With three people, consider the amount of luggage you will have and will it reasonably fit into a truck of a cab.
