I would call the ocean players club. Even though you do not have the letter, they should still have it on record. You may be able to get the credit without the letter.

I got one of those letters last year, and it was good for any ship. They did take the letter when I got my "cash" at the cashiers cage. I would call them and see what they say. Good luck

I earned 150 points during my last (first) cruise from video poker. I did not play nearly as much as I normally would because it was my first cruise and there was not much time left to gamble, as well as the horrible paytable.

Is it worth my time to email the Players Club to see if I qualify for a basic package for my upcoming next cruise? I plan to play a lot more this time.

I just emailed players club and will receive the premium bon voyage package when I sail in April. Only took a couple of minutes and they responded in about 5 days.

Thank you cruise critic buddies on showing how to get perks!

If you have emailed OPC and haven't received a reply, I suggest calling them. It seems email responses are sort of hit and miss with OPC.

I emailed the OPC about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Haven't heard back so I just called them. Gave them our names and they looked us up. They had past cruise information. I gave them our cruise information for our 04/03/2011 cruise. They said my sister and I qualify for $25.00 cash in casino and my daughter qualifies for a standard Bon Voyage Pkg. I am thinking of trading my daughter. $15.00 photo coupon and chocolate covered strawberries will last longer than that 25.00 in a slot!(LOL) Just kidding, we are all very happy with what we are getting.

We leave on the Carnival Dream this weekend ... first-time cruiser, but an annual visitor to Las Vegas ... love BJ ...

So, how do you sign up for their players club? Do you do it when you first visit the casino on-board?

Just insert your sail and sign card in the slot machine when you play and you are automatically in the players club:)

:) We recently returned from a Carnival Cruise and we, too, had a email stating that we were eligible for a premium bon voyage package. We received a wonderful basket with fruit, snack crackers, cheese and a bottle of wine, 2 large bottles of wine, $15 off a photograph and free drinks one evening at the casino.

We just got back from the Spirit and did in fact get the premium Bon Voyage package as promised prior to the trip. It included a basket of fruit, a couple of large bottles of water and a bottle of wine. We also received a $15 photo coupon the first night at dinner.

The host on board the Spirit was awesome. She actually found us the first night in the casino by seeing our names on the slots while our cards were in the machines. Every day she came by to talk to us and was always very friendly.

Overall we had a great time in the casino. DW hit a couple of jackpots on video poker and DH was able to play craps throughout the week and not loose too much.

Can you please tell me the name of the casino host and anything special that would give me an advantage when I introduce myself to her tomorrow?

Thanks,

~Tracey :)

I just sent my email to the oceans players club. Wish me luck, this is my 3rd cruise and so far I have not gotten anything free from the casino. BTW I signed up before my 1st cruise.

You'll probably get something.

So far I have a $75.00 vocher I got in the mail. And I'm suppose to get a $50.00 bon voyage package, though I don't know what exactly that is. :)

I just called and both my husband and I qualify for the Premium package - so I am very excited to see what we will get. I am really hoping for the drink card - not sure if they are doing that on the Legend though? Thanks for the info so that we can get the perks!!

I was on back 2 back cruises on the Carnival Dream in March. I just emailed the players club to see if I would get anything on my next cruise and they said that I qualified for $100 cash and a discounted cruise. Anyone have any experience with this? Will the rate be better than early saver?

I submitted the form on the Ocean Players website on April 25th and just got this back 2 days ago:

Hello Elaine,

Thank you for contacting Casino VIP Services!

We are excited to hear that you are sailing with us again! You are eligible to receive a Deluxe Bon Voyage package which will be delivered to your stateroom on your upcoming cruise. We have placed your details onto our guest list and you are all set. Have a wonderful voyage and the best of luck while in our casino!

Can someone tell me what I should expect? How do I know if I'm going to get money or a fruit basket or wine or free drink copons or or or... lol I wonder if actually picking up the phone and talking to someone is better than submitting it on their website and wondering....

Anyone get the Deluxe Bon Voyage package and what exactly did you get? Thnx... Oh, and a while back I did get that 25% off your next cruise coupon and $100 cash in the casino... Can't wait for August to come...

Mike...

We are looking to cruise on the Glory this year; but after our last experience on Inspiration, we decided we will sail on the ships that offer the free drink card with 1500 points from now on. It softens the blow when we lose to cry in a free beer. :D Is this program on the Glory??

My big question is this...did you contact someone prior to sailing only (I always call Mike at Oceans Player Club) and/or did you introduce yourself to Titiana once onboard? We always get a Premium BV pkg and cash at the cage...but they've never offered 1 to EACH of us; and our "Fine Red Wine" was a screw top bottle of white wine last month on the Inspiration!! Do I need to call and then have my hubby call to both get the comps? Perhaps I just don't ask the right questions when I talk to OPC...

We left a LOT of $$ on the Inspiration (our choice. nobody twisted our arms) and felt like it meant nothing to them to have someone spending most of their time in the casino! Nobody smiled, nobody stopped by, nobody offered a drink. It was weird...but then, most staff acted like they were getting keel hauled any moment! (another oddity for Carnival from my experience)

Compare that to The Dream in Jan where I was made to feel special from day 1; not to mention our free drink cards on day 2! A happy player is a happy loser??

I was just wondering if you had any suggestions before we book Glory.

Thanks for your help...we casino junkies have to stick together!!!

I was on the triumph in January 2011. I called the players club about six weeks before I went to see what they could do for me (I had been on the spirit twice in 2010) When I checked in I got free strawberries and the next day a fruit basket. I also got a bottle of wine the first night for dinner. and a coupon for a free photo too

In addition they emailed me a coupon for $250 in casino chips to take with me. you cash it in when you get there and they somehow connect your room key to your players club account number for the rest of the trip.

Last week in the mail came a coupon from Carnival's Player Club for $500 of cash if I want to go to a cruise out of New York this fall... at a balcony rate of less than $750. Too bad I live on the west coast or I would take advantage of it. so to answer your questions, yes, this was my third carnival cruise in less than 13 months and they did me well. But call ahead of time and give them your players number.

as to the free beverages in the casino, they dont give those anymore even to player club members who play the max on the machines but if you make friends with the casino host on duty "that person" does have some discretion to buy you coffee or soda... but not booze

but an even better deal came today from NCL via Harrah's. If you have a diamond account (or higher) with them they are giving away free balcony trips to the mediterrean this fall so I will probably do that trip this fall
