I was on the Glory the last week of February '11. When we got to our room, the phone rang and the host gave us each the "drinks on us card". we had free drinks in the casino all week. We also got the premium bon voyage package. I hope to get the same on the Dream in Sept.

We booked this next cruise with the 25% off and have a coupon for cash when we get there. .

Quick question .... approximately how much do you have to play in order to qualify for any freebies
I didn't exactly ask that question... on the Crown Princess I asked how much did I have to play to be rated. Answer was two hours a night at a $25 table spread. I can't speak for slots at all, since I never play them. Playing that much, I got a couple of small comps and a few drinks for DW and myself. We were doing poorly and after a couple of nights cut our unit size down. Didn't seem to change how often we were offered drinks. Nothing to rave about, but Princess is not known to be generous with comps.

Good luck and Shalom, Andy

Mike...

We are looking to cruise on the Glory this year; but after our last experience on Inspiration, we decided we will sail on the ships that offer the free drink card with 1500 points from now on. It softens the blow when we lose to cry in a free beer. :D Is this program on the Glory??

My big question is this...did you contact someone prior to sailing only (I always call Mike at Oceans Player Club) and/or did you introduce yourself to Titiana once onboard? We always get a Premium BV pkg and cash at the cage...but they've never offered 1 to EACH of us; and our "Fine Red Wine" was a screw top bottle of white wine last month on the Inspiration!! Do I need to call and then have my hubby call to both get the comps? Perhaps I just don't ask the right questions when I talk to OPC...

We left a LOT of $$ on the Inspiration (our choice. nobody twisted our arms) and felt like it meant nothing to them to have someone spending most of their time in the casino! Nobody smiled, nobody stopped by, nobody offered a drink. It was weird...but then, most staff acted like they were getting keel hauled any moment! (another oddity for Carnival from my experience)

Compare that to The Dream in Jan where I was made to feel special from day 1; not to mention our free drink cards on day 2! A happy player is a happy loser??

I was just wondering if you had any suggestions before we book Glory.

Thanks for your help...we casino junkies have to stick together!!!

Karen

Tatiana Isnt on the Glory anymore but she took great care of us.We did call the players club and we have done this in the past as well but this cruise I didnt feel bad for blowing my money. The past cruises we were promised things and they never delivered!!

This cruise in October I will see if we get the same great comps and if not I will order choc covered strawberries and wine and baskets for the room and not even play that much .It will save me in the long run anyway

yes we introduced ourselves and called too

Thanks so much for the reply!

We are thinking about the 5 day Glory in the fall; and knowing the casino was friendly to "losers" was a selling point! I like your idea of buying my own berries/wine & fruit...and saving my $$! Great tip. :)

Thanks again...

Karen

Wondering if anyone knows who is the casino host on the Conquest this summer? Also if anyone recently has been on the Conquest and received their package they were told they would get via email? Thanks.

I called the players club. They looked at our play and told me what I could get. I could have gotten $25 or drink tickets plus the strawberries and champagne. Are you from DC? I see your go skins. we are from No. Va.

I was on back 2 back cruises on the Carnival Dream in March. I just emailed the players club to see if I would get anything on my next cruise and they said that I qualified for $100 cash and a discounted cruise. Anyone have any experience with this? Will the rate be better than early saver?

Meatloafsfan - I received an offer in the mail from Carnival's Players Club about a month ago for $100 casino cash and up to 25% off a cruise. I'd been eyeballing a cruise in October, and ES rates weren't bad, but were staying the same for the last 2 months. I figured what the heck, and called today to see if that sailing qualified and what the discounted rate was. I think it worked out to 21% off the normal rate, and about $80 less than ES. She also told me if I needed to make changes (IE add another pax - I'm doing my first solo this time), that there wouldn't be a change fee, just the addition of 2nd pax taxes and fees ($52). So that's an added benefit over ES rates. So if you've got a cruise you're thinking of, give them a call and see - hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised like me! Oh, and yes - I booked the cruise and sent an e-mail to OPC. :D Am hoping to get another premium bon voyage package in addition to the free money and discount. Fingers crossed!:)

Thanks - I ended up booking and it was about 33% off of the cruise price plus the $400 cash, and a cocktail party and "many more exciting events"....

I'm very excited. I'm used to getting free rooms and food comps and small gifts at my "local" casino but this seems a little bigger.

Just sent my email inquiry about any comps we might be qualified for for our upcoming cruise next month. Thanks for the information!
I'm going on Princess in six weeks. Last cruise I asked to be rated and we were comped a few gifts and drinks every now and then. We were not issued membership cards or numbers.

Does anyone have experience with Princess (a part of OPC) as to whether it's better to make a phone call or write email? If email, how should I identify myself to them?

TIA and shalom, Andy.

We have only 1 cruise with Princess. Prior to that I called the Players Club (or sent in the form from the website then followed up) and they gave us each $50 in casino cash plus the wine, strawberries, picture & drink coupon. They could see our Carnival Cruise casino history & they knew our players club number. There was no "card".

It's for Carnival but I would think it's the same I used for Princess. I know I call the same person for Princess or Carnival.

You should get some sort of email in a day or so.

Hope that helps!

Karen

p.s. We play slots and vp. If you are a tables player; I'm not sure how they send perks but I'd sure give them the opportunity to do so!

I called today. It's the same phone number for Princess, Carnival and Holland America (you choose the line in the maze).

I will be getting $150 on our next cruise in six weeks. Sounds like a good deal to me :D:D

Good luck and shalom. Andy

Free money is ALWAYS a good deal!! Congrats!

I had no clue about this perk till I happened upon a players club thread on CC. My husband and I have not missed our free cash and Bon Voyage package since! Gotta love CC! :)

We called the Players Club a couple weeks before and everything was delivered as promised.

Got a basket with fruit, wine and cheese on the first day. We also got a photo discount card, 2 bottles of the big water, and then another bottle of wine at dinner.

My DH got $200 casino cash and I got $100. :)

All in all, a great trip! We only had one drink each comped in the casino though---no free drink card.

So I just got back from my third Carnival cruise on the victory and I made a promise to let everyone know how good the ocean player club really is. We said some forums before going on the Victory so we gave them a call up. On the victory we received $300 cash from the casino cage, a drinks on us card so we got free drinks the entire cruise in the casino :), wine cheese and fruit basket, bottle of wine at dinner one night, chocolate covered strawberry's three nights in the room.

We got back after an amazing cruise and I called them back once again. We are cruising again on the miracle, same perks as mentioned above, and they also helped us save $500 on our suite on the Miracle after we had already booked! These guys are incredible!

If you play craps you are going to have a blast with the dealer Alan, Maria, Michale, Lee. They are the best and I have never had so much fun while losing money.:D

I called the players club 2 weeks before we left and was told I would receive $50 in the casino and a bon voyage pkg in our stateroom. When I went to the casino, the manager said I wasn't eligible and I never received anything in my stateroom. I was so disappointed. On my last cruise I received free drink tickets, a Bon voyage package, free photo coupons, free drinks in the casino, a bottle of wine at dinner, and chocolate covered strawberries twice.

Also, every time I would email them, I'd get no response. :(
