Don't believe it...last 2 cruises I was on May and last weekend....didn't have Drinks Card waiting and when I asked, they laughed. Had well over 8000 point on the cruises before each one. Seems there is no rhyme or reason as to what you get. And seems that each casino Host on each ship has discretion as to what to give....but hope you get what was told to you.

Yep I won't sail again without an Email confirmation showing what I am entitled to. I too got the chuckle when I tried to pick up my drink card that should have been waiting for me.

I don't think any of this is malicious. I just think there are a lot of new people and this whole comp thing must be foreign to many of Carnivals staff.

When you deal with people like Carlos Lopez and Lillian Humphries along with Vicky who was on the Legend you will see there are some genuinely great, competent people working as hosts. It is some of the others that need to be properly trained

I emailed Michael above and it seems like they do not give a welcome aboard basket anymore?

Do yourself a favor spend $50 for a basket from Bon Voyage and save money gambling while on a Carnival cruise :)

One cruise I lost about $15000. and my next cruise they gave me I think $300 in casino cash and a few little things. I have learned to gamble at real casinos now that know how to comp and play very small while on Carnival cruises

I too always have confirmation emails in case and have needed to show them on a few occasions. You would think that a department that makes the cruise lines a big percentage of the profits would have staff that is trained and they would get a clue on how to comp properly based on a players play and keep players coming back

I know what you mean. Those of us that like to gamble spend the equivalent of Platinum in one or two cruises. IOW what I lost on my last two cruises would have paid for 15 cruises easily.

If they keep it up they are going to lose a lot of money. I cruise mostly to relax and gamble. I have a Hard Rock 20 minutes from my house I will just gamble there.
