San Juan Hotel Question

Recommended Posts

Has anyone stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in the Isla Verde tourist district in San Juan before a cruise? Is this an ok area to stay without renting a car, are restaurants within walking distance. Thanks in advance for any information.

We have not stayed there, but have passed it coming out of our hotel. It looks clean and decent from the outside. Within walking of the El San Juan and Intercontential, which has some nice restaurants (Ruth Chris, and also many godd restaurants at he El San Juan). Only thing is, it is not on the beach it that matters to you. We stayed down the street 2 years ago at the Courtyard by Marriot, which included in theiri price our breakfast and they were right on the beach. Also what was nice about the Marriott, since we had a late flight out, they let us drop our luggage to the bellman and use the pool and beach the day we were flight home, insteading of sitting at the airport for uptenn hours
