bus travel on Santorini

Hello,

During our May cruise we will be in Santorini for about 11 hours, 7am to 6pm. Rather than do a ship excursion we hope to take the bus to Oia in the morning, then back to Fira by noonish and then take the bus to the Red Beach near Akrotiri. We want to see the cliffs, take some photos, walk around for an hour or 2 and head back to Fira.

To any who may have done this (taken the bus 2 different directions on the same day) does this seem possible?

thanks for any input
