deb603 Posted February 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2010 We already booked our cruise for July, but have held off on the cruise insurance 'cause there are 4 of us and it would be a big expense. I just looked on the travel insurance website and kids are free. But since we already booked and put a deposit down, is it too late to buy this insurance? do they only accept it before your initial deposit? patseacruiser Posted February 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2010 No they cover pre-existing conditions if purchased before 10-21 days after initial deposit depending upon what insurance company you buy from.
KCcruisin07 Posted February 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2010 You can buy insurance until you make your final deposit. One company will give you 24 hours after that. If you haven't bought it before, you can go to InsureMyTrip. You can do some comparisons there and then call if you want to talk to someone. While many companies are restrictive 21 days after your initial deposit, CSA will allow pre-existing conditions if you order by the time of your final deposit. I suggest ordering insurance on a weekday in case you need to talk to someone.
