mugwood Posted February 26, 2010 #26 Share Posted February 26, 2010 The martini flight is indeed $18 and is only 60% the size of the normal martini ($10). I believe the $18 price includes more than one 'fun size' martinis. (All exclude 15% tip)
Lsimon Posted February 26, 2010 #27 Share Posted February 26, 2010 Hi Larry,:) check the link in the other post....there is a large breakdownof prices for the "Martini Flight"...prices for everything and it says over 18.00. Yes, regular martinis were still in the 10.00 range, but not the martini flight... Sorry - I thought you were talking about a regular martini bar martini and not the martini sampler. That is a big price increase - have they increased the size or number of the little martini's included in the sampler? It's been a long time since we had one of those. Since we did them a few times we'd settled on which we enjoy and usually get the regular martinis now.
FinelyCruising Posted February 26, 2010 #28 Share Posted February 26, 2010 I read it as $18.00 for the Martini Bar martini too. Big glass or not, could you imagine??? :D
mason525 Posted February 26, 2010 #29 Share Posted February 26, 2010 Are frozen drink packages & premiium liquor packages like the soft drink ones where you must purchase for every day of the cruise? They are new since I've been on board. Meg

dmk Posted February 26, 2010 #31 Share Posted February 26, 2010 I was on the Solstice 2 months ago. And yes, the Martini Flight is $18. I was shocked. The size of the martini glasses in the flight were the same size as before. Not only that...but a regular martini is now in a smaller glass that before...not those lovely large glasses that could fit in 4 ozs. The prices are unchanged. If that's true in the martini bar that the glasses are smaller, I will just about die.
Rare Lois R Posted February 26, 2010 #33 Share Posted February 26, 2010 Sorry - I thought you were talking about a regular martini bar martini and not the martini sampler. Since we did them a few times we'd settled on which we enjoy and usually get the regular martinis now. If memory serves, it was still 6 of them and miniatures as always. I know we all spend our money differently, but for me? Those 6 are not a good value at almost 20 bucks. I will still drink Martinis but it will be a regular sized one:)

NauticalDan Posted February 27, 2010 #36 Share Posted February 27, 2010 No one knows for sure. Not even Celebrity or the bar tenders. The best guess is the Classic Liquor package entitles you to drinks up to $8. Premium Liquor package entitles you to drinks up to $11. It may or may not include drinks in the martini bar up to those limits. It may or may not include specialty coffee's. It may or may not include drinks on a bar's menu up to those limits. It probably doesn't include frozen drinks, even if they are at or under those dollar limits. It probably includes drinks with brands not listed on the website as long as the per drink dollar value is less than the limit associated with your package. Call Celebrity at 1-800-722-5941 and ask for yourself. Post your answers here.

GITC Posted February 27, 2010 #39 Share Posted February 27, 2010 Can I order Bloody Mary? aka a Ceasar? FWIW, a Bloody Mary is not "aka" a Caesar. Clamato puts tomato to shame.
mjwandssw Posted March 9, 2010 #40 Share Posted March 9, 2010 I just got off of the Celebrity Century on Saturday. If you are frustrated by all of the misinformation by Celebrity on what the packages include, you are not alone. Pre sail, I purchased the Premium Liquor Package only to cancel it prior to sail when I was told the package wouldn't work in the Martini Bar. I then purchased the Beer Package, because It seemed to be Clear cut. When I got on the Ship I then find out that even the classic package works in the martini bar, they are just smaller and lesser quality liquor. Secondly if you have a liquor package you can basically get ANYTHING of a lesser value (Frozen drinks, Pop and even bottles of water). I think they are having some growing pains rolling out these beverage packages, but I can tell you only what my experience was last week on the Celebrity Century. Good Luck!
