robin32470 Posted February 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2010 Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew if the Circle C for the 12-14 year olds on Carnival cruises works the same way as Camp Carnival like on Camp Carnival you drop your kid off and sign them in and then they stay as long as they want to and then you sign them out....what kind of activities do they have with Circle C rather than Camp Carnival? Do they have slumber parties like Camp Carnival? When we are in port can they still stay at the Circle C room ? Any info would be helpful. Our daughter loved Camp Carnival on our cruise in April 2008 and she would have rather been there than hang out with us and I have a feeling it's going to be the same this time around..LOL

The kids are free to come and go as they (or you as their parent setting the rules, wish). Just run a search on these boards and you will see the activities - games, sports, scavenger hunts etc. Be advised that from what I have seen, they do not offer morning activies one the kids hit this age, but the evening activities can run til 1 am or so. I cannot answer about port days - I do not know whether they run activities in the afternoon or not.
nybumpkin Posted February 27, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2010 I'm looking at my son's Circle C schedule from last week - generally, the port day activities start up around the time you're due back on board. On sea days, they start around noon. No slumber parties, but the activities generally go to midnight or 1 a.m. Our son enjoys Circle C; if he's not there, he's on the sports deck playing basketball. TheresaR Posted March 4, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 4, 2010 My 13 yo enjoyed the Circle C for the most part. WE still had some "I'm bored" moments but generally they were before activities started at noon, or when the friends she made on board weren't available to hang out with. DragonMouse Posted March 10, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2010 My son was 13 last year and said it was the best vacation ever. He had a blast. The only "slow" time for him was on the first day till 10 pm. 10 pm was the evening "meet and greet" party. After that...he was GONNNNNEEE. Woke up and out the door by 9:00 am. I laid claim to him on port days so I don't know what all was available in Port. I believe the "O Club" (15-17) had some excursion activities. We'd go on our excursion and then..."Mom I wanna get back...I'm meeting so-n-so"...I'd escort him back to the ship or he'd go back with hubby or one of my friends. Dinner...gotta eat fast Mom...there's a party...later...SIGH...He had a total blast...saw more shows and other things than I did. They had scavenger hunts, parties, arcade battles...just all sorts of stuff. He took a picture with 5 of his friends and oh my...what a fantastic picture. They started texting each other as soon as we pulled into port and they still are...they're facebook friends too. His first night back he came in around 2 or 3 in the morning. I was nervous but my husband and the other gentleman in our party told me to loosen up a bit. He came in happy as a lark and babbled like crazy about all the people he met and the "crazy" party at the club. He really had a blast. He had perhaps only ONE day in which we found him in the room snoozing. He said they were ALL tired and he was just aching for a nap. Kinda funny coming from a 13 year old. He slept for a couple of hours then he was out the door again.

The rest of the time he was with his friends. The next son, who is in Circle C, is only slightly better. We usually manage to have breakfast with him as well.
