MarlboroBell Posted February 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2010 Hmm. Well, the easiest way to get to Disneyland is on the TGV that goes directly to the park. But from the British side of the Channel, that only runs once per day, and it leaves Ashford station at 10:28am. Which in turn means you'll need to be on the 8:56am train from Dover Priory. (Or catch a cab directly from the cruise terminal to Ashford, but you need to be at Ashford station before 10.) That will have you at the park at 1:30pm -- but of course it means a very rapid disembark! The next option is the bus -- again, it's only once a day. Last summer it ran from the bus station in Dover at noon. You have to change buses at Paris CDG airport and you'll be at the park at 7:30pm. If you can get yourself across the channel to Lille, there are very frequent trains to Disneyland -- it sounds ludicrous, but you might even be best just taking the train from Dover all the way to St Pancras in London and then right back out again. But there's got to be a better way -- most likely involving a Channel crossing as a foot passenger and then getting on a train somewhere and changing once or twice. That could get complicated. If your ship is due to arrive early enough, I think I'd plan on booking a private transfer from the port to Ashford station, probably planning to carry off your own luggage -- that will be the fastest and most hassle-free way to get there. But you may need to think about contingency plans if the ship is delayed, or if disembarking is slow. It's a 22-mile journey to Ashford, almost all on motorway, so as long as you're on the road by 9:15 you should be fine.
