Rare Radio Posted March 14, 2010 Author #601 Share Posted March 14, 2010 Radio, we followed your report every single day. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I have seen your Liberty of the seas video about 10 times and love it. Would you be posting a video of the Oasis as well once you get home? Thanks for the nice comments. . . Yes there should be a video. It may take a couple of weeks for me to edit and post it. I have to go through 112 Video Clips I made. . . It will take a while. Thanks. . . Radio ;);) . Rare Radio Posted March 14, 2010 Author #602 Share Posted March 14, 2010 Anybody know if there is a tennis court on this ship? It shows up on the ammenities of Oasis of the Seas but I have seen no pictures of it? Thanks. There is a full size Basketball court, that can be configured for Volleyball, and soccer. They must have a short net to configure it for tennis as well. Radio :rolleyes: .

I am going on my first cruise on this ship on April 10, 2010. At first I thought I was going to be BORED on this ship since I don't like being cooped up like on a ship. After I seen your pictures, it makes me a bit more excited that I won't get too bored LOL. Since, I am going with my parents and my sister and her hubby. kerrydee Posted March 14, 2010 #606 Share Posted March 14, 2010 I am with you....But on different ship and itinerary....I think doing the same thing twice would be a little boring....Just Me! Mike B to B is two different itineraries.

darla723 Posted March 14, 2010 #608 Share Posted March 14, 2010 As so many others have said, thanks for allowing us to join you this past week! You see, in your first pics of the ship arriving in Ft. Lauderdale on Mar. 6th-before you boarded-we were just waking up in cabin 10596!!! :) Following you this week has seemed like an extension of OUR cruise!! How fast it went by, as I'm sure you agree you can't do everything there is to do in one week. By "being there" with you, My DH and I feel we've done just a little more!! I looked forward to more of the Oasis every day of YOUR cruise and so appreciate all you've done to enhance our second, albeit virtual, week! orchid4me2003 Posted March 14, 2010 #610 Share Posted March 14, 2010 we have a B2B booked for next feb. First week the eastern, second week the western. we did a B2B a few years ago on the Carnival Triumph and they were almost the same itinerary except for 1 port change. We didn't care at all. It was the joy of sailing and it gave us an opportunity to go do other things in the revisted ports. Just love sailing... The Oasis is only sailing the eastern itinerary until May. DarthGrady Posted March 14, 2010 #611 Share Posted March 14, 2010 Fantastic virtual cruise! I enjoyed every bit of it. We are contemplating either another Alaska cruise or an Oasis cruise for next year. This review makes it a tough call.

deb63 Posted March 14, 2010 #614 Share Posted March 14, 2010 Thanks for the nice comments. . . The Boardwalk had a lot of use on my cruise. I will say however, that it never seemed crowded. I never saw a line for the Merry Go Round, and they had several Carnival type games there during sea days (ring toss, duck float tubs) for kids. The Aquatheatre seemed to be Non functional for most of the cruise. They had Water fountain Music shows, and the Oasis of Dreams show, and several movies. Radio :rolleyes: Great to know. We'll have to wait until the 2012 itineraries come out to book the Oasis, but my DDs will be thrilled. Thank you for the information!!
sunshine55 Posted March 14, 2010 #615 Share Posted March 14, 2010 Hi Radio!! I just loved going on your cruise with you and the Mrs. It was such a joy logging in every day to see your pictures on the Oasis. The pictures of your room shows the shower is located by itself which means when you step out of the shower you are out in the open of your room. Is that correct? I guess you would call that family friendly! Are all the rooms set-up that way? Linda

I guess you would call that family friendly! Are all the rooms set-up that way? Linda The only ship where the showers are situated as you describe is the soon to debut, NCL EPIC. On Oasis and all other RCI ships (and most, if not all, others) the shower is situated in the bathroom and when you step out of the shower you are in the- bathroom- not the middle of the stateroom. Radio may have had the bathroom door open in order to get a photo of the shower, but ordinarily that door would be closed when you are showering. Rare Radio Posted March 15, 2010 Author #621 Share Posted March 15, 2010 Hello everyone. . . I am on the AutoTrain, and we left Sanford, FL at 4PM. We are in Georgia, and should reach South Carolina in about 1HR. We will arrive in Lorton, VA tomorrow at 830AM. (scheduled time) I was going through my posts and figured out that it may have seemed that I didn't go to the Casino. I went to the Casino every day. . .sometimes twice a day. The Casino Royale on Oasis of the Seas is very large. I think I posted on a previous "LIVE" thread that the Freedom of the Seas Casino was 20% larger that the Voyager class. The Casino on Oasis Class may be twice the size of Voyager Class. . .It actually wraps around Studio B ! It is very nice. . . Here are a few pics, plus 1 from the Boardwalk. Radio Casino Royale The Slot Machines were very friendly with me ! There were not many Poker Players on this Cruise Oasis of the Seas had a lot of Table Games The Casino was often very busy at night. . . Mrs.Radio was very Happy she was able to get on the Merry Go Round ! (She was also happy that I rode with her. . .) It was fun ! .

I just finished viewing your January trip and I am looking forward to going through all of your "Live" reports! Thanks Tricia for the very nice comments. You may like some of the "LIVE" posts. . . the format is the same for all of them. The photos do not appear in some of them, because the 2 Photoservers I used went out of business (can you imagine?) Club Photo, and Imagestation (Sony) both went out of biz a couple years ago. That's why I now use Fotki (The worlds largest) Radio ;);)
