Is the Cats Meow still open for business in Costa Maya...

Cat's was closed after Hurricane Dean in 2007. The owner returned to Canada. However, there are fine places that remained after 2007. And many more have opened.

Thank God... I had a bad experience there before the hurricane. We tipped 20% - there were 6 of us.. and the rude waiter told us it wasn't enough. Even the owners husband got in on it with the waiter. They demanded more money for a tip. Last i knew 20% was a decent tip. We all left pretty pi**ed off. I am sooo glad to hear they are closed. There are plenty of other places to eat. Can't wait to go back. :D

Sorry for your singular bad experience...but why the heck come back on these boards 3 years later AFTER the place is closed to complain about being under appreciated for a tip and in 3 post you obviously had to search to drag up...Way past time to move on!
