getting 8 from lax to San Pedro

We are two families with four each going from LAX to San Pedro; we would like to travel together but the problem is that one family is coming from an airport hotel and the other family is coming from a car rental agency.

Do you suggest a shared van or two separate execucars (or something else)

I can't really answer about LAX, but our family of nine recently flew into LGB. Before leaving, we called around, we found a stretch limo that was just a few dollars more than taking a van. They picked us up at the airport and directly to Crowne Plaza, (after a requested detour to the Queen Mary.)

Some of the Limo outfits quoted us rates that were WAY higher, one van outfit gave us a quote that was more than double the cost of the Limo!

Although we have only dealt with them once, we were extremely happy with GAMA. The limo was new, clean, had lots of room for the luggage, and the driver was extremely friendly (he even went out of our way to drive by the Queen Mary, without extra charge!)

The bar was stocked with softdrinks for the kids and beer for us adults, along with various liquors.

You might give them a call to compare rates.

We found the Limo to be a bit nicer ride than a van jammed with other travelers!

Thanks I did call them and they quoted me $136 from LAX with two different pickups. Since we do not drink, the free booze would be wasted on us. Though there is something really nice about arriving to the port in a limo I called super shuttle and a private van with an extra pickup would be something like 96$
