beachsands Posted April 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Trying to figure out if the soda card is going to be a good idea or not. Do any of the cruise lines have sweet tea or is it unsweetened? So many small decisions. I can see where you get your best understanding of this process, you have to get yourself on one of these huge babies!! Thanks, Joel
paul929207 Posted April 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Wouldn't you be better asking about the cruise line you will sail with?
cb at sea Posted April 13, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2010 It will vary from line to line....I'm not sure the iced tea is "any specific" brand....and it's unsweetened...but you can add sugar or sweetener....it'll be ok!
Prphan2 Posted April 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2010 On RCCL, the "free" tea is unsweetened we love it! I have read though that the canned, sweetened tea is also carried, but is a "purchased" beverage.
Rare silentbob007 Posted April 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 13, 2010 On Carnival and RCCL, it is more "tea like concentrate" than actual brewed tea, though there are several sweeteners made available. Also, you need to look at how many sodas you would normally drink during the day. Soda card sodas are fountain drinks. Individual purchases are cans and generally you need to drink 3 or more cans a day to break even with the price of the soda package.
patseacruiser Posted April 13, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2010 The tea is, as pointed out, not a brewed tea but is unsweetened. I do a 1/2 and 1/2 with the tea and lemonade and like it very much. No sweetener needed when you do it that way.
