Honeymoon Advice

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I am recently engaged (on a Royal Caribbean cruise) and starting to plan the wedding and honeymoon. I was wondering if anyone had advice on a Mediterranean cruise vs. a "do-it-yourself" trip to Europe. Also, if anyone has done a Europe trip did you use a tour group? Which one? What other resources might be helpful? I appreciate any and all advice! Thanks! :)

Well lots to consider, while a cruise gives you a nice sampling... a tour will give you more in depth. A tour though you will be traveling almost on a daily basis, packing and repacking and traveling from place to place. It can be a great way to travel but consider carefully whether it is the way you want to spend your honeymoon.

There are also semi escorted type tours that take care of the logistics but are much more independent in nature and allow you greater flexibility to customize it how you want to .

Lastly there are the cruises. The benefit in my book is that you unpack once and wake up in a new location each day and will see a much broader area.

My suggestion is to go and visit a good local TA, who can give you brochures and talk to you about the pluses and minuses of each type of trip.
