ms-getaway Posted April 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Are the doors just wider or is the room larger in general?

firefly333 Posted April 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Our HC on Ecstasy same size cabin and bathroom, just not the big step up and lots of bars and the pull down shower seat... but the bathroom wasnt any bigger. It looked like a cabin that had been converted vs a HC built cabin. The answer probably depends on which ship you will be on ... or at least which class and how new. giggleykim Posted April 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Travel with my husband in a power wheelchair, and this is what we have discovered over the last few years with the different style of wheelchair rooms. I hope it helps. The room size will depend if it is wheel chairmodified[/color] or wheel chair accessable room. Modified means fully accessable a 5 ft turn around, wheel in shower, door way is confirmed to be wider and no lips anywhere (maybe balcany -- depending on ship). Accessable means for elderly or those with mobility, has no steps into bathroom, may or may not have raised tolet, may, or maynot have wider doorways, no garintees on turn around for wheelchairs. Elaine515 Posted April 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Are the doors just wider or is the room larger in general? Just off the Freedom and found Mom/Dads handicap cabin to be smaller in size with very little walking around space but bathroom MUCH larger w/raised toilet... Mom loved it.... The door was much larger to allow the scooter to get in without a problem...
