DonnaK Posted May 10, 2010 #26 Share Posted May 10, 2010 If one person fails to embark their reservation would be canceled and the cabin would revert to exclusive solo occupancy. End of story. Even if the traveling party was repriced at exclusive occupancy at 200%; the remaining paid fare of the canceled party would be applied to the traveling party since it's non refundable. So it's a wash or in effect the party that didn't show paid for half the single occupancy cabin. I highly doubt the cruise line would try to collect additional funds once on board the ship. Princess really doesn't care who actually sails or not as long as they get their money for 2 people. Call Princess to confirm if you are worried. I called Princess to inquire, and I was told something different than what you posted here. The traveling person would be reticketed at the CURRENT single occupancy rate, which is currently $600 more than originally paid. So, it is not a wash and I would be charged the additional money. CALMOM Posted May 10, 2010 Author #28 Share Posted May 10, 2010 Just giving all my helpers an update. Princess made the change in passengers and even waived the $50 fee. I was impressed that Princess had no problem changing the passengers and now we are all set to cruise. Thank you CC Members and Thank you Princess.
