4th of July Sailing

Recommended Posts

We were on a Voyager Class ship in 2005 for 4th of July. They had a special parade on the promenade deck. But the 4th was in the middle of the cruise. They also had a special menu in the main dining room for dinner. The ship was also decorated with red, white, and blue.

Does anyone know if there are any special things that take place on the 4th of July? We are on the FOS that sails July 4th. Fireworks, etc.?

No fireworks on the one we did. They decorate the main dining room and sing, but nothing else. Remember that there are a lot of different nationalities on these ships so the fact that they recognize an american holiday is pretty good. IMO.

Sorry if I sound stupid saying this but wouldn't fireworks off of the cruise ship be a little bit of a fire hazard??? Just asking cause that would make sense to me as why they don't do fireworks off the cruise!
