I booked on the Liberty last year for the Dream this year. No i could have got a better deal with my Carnival PVP had i waited but cancelled anyway after hearing so many Dream complaints, so rebooked on the Victory which i am worried about now due to other type complaints. I would highly recommend buying a Future Carnival Vacation Certificate though...i bought 4 of them while onboard.

Jersey, we just returned from the Southern Caribbean. We were on the Serenade of the Seas. The islands are so amazing, I can't imagine anything on a cruise ship distracting from the beauty of the islands. Have an awesome time...

We bought a future cruise certificate too. You pay $100 (kind of like a gift certificate) that must be used within 5 years. Then, once onboard you get between a $50 and $200 onboard credit. The amount depends on the length of the cruise.

If you had, can you tell me if you received a better deal than a travel agent can give you?

Travelling on the Conquest in August and looking for another in November.

Yes, we were on the Conquest in February and booked another cruise while on-board and got a fantastic deal. I would highly recommend that you go to the talks on-board and visit their desk which is located right next to the casino.

We bought them while on the Carnival Freedom. That is still our favorite one. We have done it twice. If you see them on a ship. make sure you get it then. We were lied to on the dream. We never got our certificates even though they told us the booth wasn't open yet. They lied and told us to call once we got home. Still really pissed off about this matter. WE had 67 rooms booked on our group. A lot of us aren't happy. They just didn't care. I talked to customer service manager. He sucked ! He was a cocky ****. I have spent a lot of money on Carnival. We don't travel in the cheap rooms. We have always done balconies and suites. My husband wouldn't travel on Carnival dream again for free. We had a nice suite but going down the halls you could puke. No one cared! We had fun with our group. I always travel twice on the ships we like. He was so mad he wanted to go on another line. That still is a possibility. Customer Service is Important even though they dont think so. If anyone wants a great ship. Carnival Freedom was Great!

We booked two cruises when we were on the Conquest in March. We already knew what we wanted, and so we decided to do it before the publicized price increase and to take advantage of the OBC. Looking at the current prices on Carnival's website, we saved some money by booking while we were on board.

Does anyone know if the Triumph has FCC desk? If so, where is it?

Yes, ALL ships should have FCC desks as I posted to you on the other thread you asked if all ships have it.

On Triumph, its near the casino, and she shares the desk with the shopping specialist or she did. so sometimes the FCC placards wouldnt be out and displayed. I finally went to her talk to find her on Triumph.

The roll out this spring, Dream got delayed and wasnt open by the date posted .... so lots of people are still upset ... but all ships should have them by now open. I talked to the FCC gal on Triumph in May, so Im sure.

Yes, they do. It is right inside the casino. My DH and I bought one in April when we were on the Triumph. We are using it on the cruise we are taking in Nov.

We bought a future cruise certificate as well. Never knew they existed! We were tempted to book on board but the $750 deposit was just a bit too much. If they could have made it $100 a person instead of $250 we would have gone for it.

Just so everone knows, a cruise on the Carnival Magic leaving 1/1/12 for 3 people in an ocean view room was only $1900! Incredible price for such a new ship.

The prices are the same as if you booked it thru Carnival after you came home.

Help me with this.....if you buy 100 FCC you can get 50-200 OBC on the future cruise or the one you are currently on?

On future cruises. 5 days cruises is $50.00, 7 days $100 etc. Carnival is giving you free OBC if you buy FCC. You have up to 5 years to use it. We got a $100.00 reduction on ES price protecticon taken off our balance and $50.00 OBC I think we are saving pretty good this Cruise.

yes, you answered your own question. You get the OBC on a future cruise.

Iv heard NCL somehow gave OBC on the cruise you were on, first time Iv ever heard of a cruiseline doing that.

Is the OBC per person or length of cruise?

On Inspiration the lady said it was per person. So if I booked a solo room I'd only get $50 but pay for 2 people who would get $100. Didn't seem fair. She agreed.

If it's for length of cruise, she didn't know what she was talking about...

It's both. Its by length AND its based on double occupancy. If my sister is a no show on Conquest in Sept as she probably will be, both my stockholder's and FCC will be cut in half. :(

On a 5 day, its almost not worth the postage, you would only get $25 for one person.

You only get half if you are solo

Does anyone know if this is combinalbe with shareholders OBC?

yes
