Taxi from airport? Boarding early on ship?

Can anyone recommend a taxi service from airport to port everglades?

 

Also, how early can I board the ship?

From Ft Lauderdale airport, just grab a cab on the curb. It's only about 3 miles to the port (but with traffic, our cab fare was almost $20).

 

You should be able to board the ship well before noon. I have read that some people get to the terminal as early as 10:30am.
