Has anyone done their own thing when they have docked at the ports in Canada on the TA to NY and Canada, we are sailing on the QE on the 12th September 2011 New England and Canadian Adventure, were not keen on organised trips and like to do our own thing where possible. Thank you. Billie

You mean Sept 12 on Queen Elizabeth voyage. In Canada, Halifax and Sydney you can rent cars. In Halifax and go to Peggys cove 45 mintues drive from the city. You can also walk around the city, Citadel, Gardens and Maritime Museum with Titanic exbits are wonderful. Sydney also you can do the same. In Qubec City just walk from the Terminal to Frontanc Hote (10 minutes walk)l and all the attractions are in walking distance, also you can taken horse driven carriage to do the tour of the City. These are lot cheaper and more independant than ship tour. You can do the samething in Boston and in Barharbor Maine.
