Costa Maya - what to do there

Right at the pier is a shopping area and, to the right of that, a small beach that you can hang out at. What we did was hang out at the beach area in the morning, go back to the ship for lunch, and then explore the shopping area. There were locals playing music and dancing in costume; some people mentioned cooking demonstrations. PS......there's a Costa Maya board you may want to look at for more ideas.

There's even a little shuttle bus running from the pier to the shopping area. The beach is not exactly Megan's Bay, but it's water and it's clean. I suggest that you wear water socks, since it's pretty rocky. Incidentally, there's also a pool right there; and even the public rest rooms are well-kept. Have a great cruise!
