SANDEE Posted July 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2010 Hi Guys, Has anyone cruised the Mexican Riveria at Christmas time and what is the weather like? Any comments will be appreciated. Sandy
KarenCL Posted July 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2010 We were on the Mexican cruise in early December last year. Weather was quite nice, not too hot and sticky. Temps were probably in the mid 80's. It couldn't be too bad, as we are going there again in December 2010....and, as a bonus, the ship is decorated for the holidays! rdsqrl Posted July 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2010 We were there around New Year's, in Huatulco, Acapulco, and Cabo. It was warm/hot and sunny. Got a little cooler the day between Cabo and LA, of course, but still warm enough (for me!) to sit out by the pool.
Rare Coral Posted July 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2010 I have done a Mexican Christmas cruise once. The weather was pretty nice except for Acalpulco which was pretty hot (10 day cruise).
ibfern Posted July 20, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2010 Hi Guys,Has anyone cruised the Mexican Riveria at Christmas time and what is the weather like? Any comments will be appreciated. Sandy I've done this cruise a few times over Christmas, this weather is usually great. Dec. 15 is opening day for Whale Watching in Cabo and not to be missed. Lost of great whale watching from the ship leaving Cabo too. As you know, weather can be fickle. You will be cool going out of Los Angeles unless these is a heat wave--there was one last year. LA had excellent weather throughout the holidays while we froze our buns off in Florida at New Years on a cruise...
genevieve7000 Posted July 20, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2010 Expect cool first and last sea days out of LA. We needed a light jacket up on deck because it was cool and windy. Sadly, a bit cool for our balcony those days, too. We had beautiful weather in the Mexican ports; warm air and water temps in early December last year.
