$$$$ Saving tips:

a) pre-booking excursions through shoretips.com (is also great).

b) seriously pack all your medical or otc drugs-supplements-pills-have it all.

c) Tip people....lots of dollar bills will save you the aggrovation of having broken or damage luggage and other possible troubles. Be nice pays well.

d) Bring a plastic container (fill it with other items) and if you must take a snack from the buffet - do it (instead of paying for a meal) on shore. (I am not talking about a picnic for 20 or major seedy fruits) just a sandwich.

e) go to his web site...

They announced prior to disermbakation that no food on any type was allowed off the ship.

However they did not search bags on the way off.

Here's my tip:

There's a bar in Cozumel in the little outdoor market that will sell you 2 beers and a shot of tequila for $4!!

You can filll them with ice, tea or juice and have them with you anywhere on the ship. They don't like you filling them directly from the dispenser, but you can fill glasses first and then pour them in the bottle.

Another tip: Soda in the ports is cheaper than onboard (even with the "soda club") and you're allowed to bring soda (but not liquor) on board. We bought several bottles of Coke on Roatan and Cozumel and kept them chilled in the minifridge. We also filled our water bottles with this soda with ice from our cabin.
