bakerintn Posted August 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2010 You may need to clarify...an Aft balcony would be any balcony cabin in the rear 1/3 of the ship. "Aft" is a direction, not a location. The balconies that are rear-facing at the back of the ship are in the "stern" (a location). They are certainly also "aft" balcony cabins, but so are lots of others that face to one side or the other. Although some stern balcony cabins have larger decks, for all practical purposes the reason that these are more popular is just the view and the lower amount of wind on the deck when the ship is moving. Ask4Jay Posted August 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2010 @bakerintn - It's the lack of wind, the view and the sound of the prop wash that draws us to the stern cabins, um, balconies, especially on a T/A.
