shoefly1960 Posted August 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Has anyone used Island Marketing to book exursions outside of the cruise line? Considering booking a snorkeling excursion in Freeport. Any input good or bad would be appreciated.

Uncle Deane Posted August 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Great so far, no problems. In July we booked a catamaran trip in Roatan and Machi Cocom beach club in Cozumel, both excellent and fairly priced. 2 years ago we booked a catamaran trip in Jamaica for 6 of us, no one else had booked so we had a full private day with a crew of 4 on a 50' boat for around $70 pp. You'll never get that from the ship excursion!!!! BTW, on the cat in Roatan there was the 4 of us and just 2 other couples, very relaxing and FUN. viaggi_per_mare Posted August 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Used them several times to book Nachi Cocam in Cozumel (all inclusive beach day) We had no problems any of the times we booked (3 times) We have not used them for anything else but we cruise the area a lot and have heard no complaints about them. Used our credit card on their site 3 times without problems. They answered promptly.
Koval Posted August 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 22, 2010 We have booked with them a couple times, never a problem... Enjoy!
Cruzman Posted August 22, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Booked with them a couple of times without a problem. I have noted of late however, that their pricing is no better than booking directly with the cruise line.
SouthernCaribbean Posted August 22, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Booked with them a couple of times without a problem. I have noted of late however, that their pricing is no better than booking directly with the cruise line. Really just depends on the excursion, just like Carnival they are just the middleman. flraider Posted August 22, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 22, 2010 We used Island Marketing for excursions on our most recent cruise and have nothing but praise for their price, service, and flexibility. We added members to our excursion at the pier and they could not have been more helpful. Not only did the folks at the pier make the additions, but they did it without slowing down our group or any of the other groups effected by the addition. vfb2girls Posted August 22, 2010 #9 Share Posted August 22, 2010 We used this company before and have nothing but good things to say about the company. I found that their customer service was outstanding and the tours that we went on with them were great. I am once again booking three excursions with them for out spring break cruise. MamaParrotHead Posted August 22, 2010 #10 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Used them twice, wouldn't hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them.
Sol y Mar Posted August 22, 2010 #11 Share Posted August 22, 2010 We have also booked for Nachi in Cozumel, and a beach break in Roatan (that I didn't have great reviews about). You can see the Roatan review on the Roatan board. However, Island Marketing Ltd. performed satisfactorily. Sol y Mar
Wickedwill Posted August 22, 2010 #12 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Booked an ATV/Ceynote tour with them in Calica a few years ago. It was great
Quampapetet Posted August 22, 2010 #13 Share Posted August 22, 2010 The group I go with used them for one of the excursions we did this year and it went well. We did the St. Thomas helicopter to private deserted island excursion (with two trips of the helicopter since we had that many ppl wanting to do it) and it was the BEST excursion EVER!!! :) We're looking to do it again next year! (Next year, however, we'll be booking directly with the helicopter company as it is a little cheaper to not use a middle man. But, we wouldn't hesitate to book with Island Marketing again for a different excursion. I help find the excursions for the group leader, in case you're wondering.) 2addicted2xmas Posted August 22, 2010 #15 Share Posted August 22, 2010 We used them in Cozumel for a dune buggy tour. It was very nice off the beaten path to an unoccupied beach for a bbq and snorkeling. Then off to a tequila factory. They had fully loaded coolers in each buggy and cooked a great meal on the beach. They were not crowded and commercial like the carnival excursion. Would definitely use again!
