Celebrity Horizon, Southern Caribbean, 1995...Anyone?

Hi everyone,

 

I'm wondering if anyone here can help me.

 

I'm doing a little research for my parents and I'm looking for anyone who might have sailed the Southern Caribbean itinerary on Horizon back in 1995.

 

The first thing I'm trying to do is compare fares between sailing on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean at that time.

 

If you happened to sail on Horizon, and you don't mind sharing, can I ask approximately what you paid back per person then?

This post is probably only marginally helpful, but since you are getting no responses so far:

 

I have the 1996 Caribbean brochure that shows the following rack rates:

 

Zenith 7 night S Carib from San Juan = $2,295 pp for a Cat 5 cabin.

Horizon 7 night Deep Carib from San Juan = $2,195 pp for a Cat 5 cabin.

 

Port charges were $120pp for both. The cruise fare you ended up paying usually was significantly cheaper than that (like over 50% based on our 1996 Century experience).

 

If you want a scan of the published brochure rates for all cabin categories (and for the different pricing seasons) for the above sailings, let me know.

I was just looking for a rough figure for comparison so the scan(s) won't be necessary, thank-you for the kind offer.

We were on a 10 night Horizon Feb 27, 1998 inside GTY $1,898.

I can't find any invoices from our cruises before then...

 

Prices have remained very consistent over the years at $100 pp per night for an inside.
