CruiseVirginfromBrooklyn Posted February 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2005 Does anyone have a menu for the Sushi Bar? Would appreciate any links or menus! thanks.
lucy1208 Posted February 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2005 I didn't think you had to pay for this? I thought it was like the fish n chips bar or the pizza station. Is there really a charge for this? My boyfriend will be so sad!
CruiseVirginfromBrooklyn Posted February 14, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted February 14, 2005 Hey - I like free! If the sushi bar is free, let me know and again, any menus for the sushi bar will be appreciated - even if it's from memory!
Intrudr Posted February 14, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2005 Vinnie - your username and signature seem inconsistent. Me thinks you are a cruise virgin no more...
workinmomof3 Posted February 14, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2005 Sushi is free. They make 4 different kinds each day. Sake is not free, and the last cruise, they ran out by day 3. Sushi bar is open 5:30-8:00. THere's usually a line for the first hour, but it goes quick. There is only 1 sushi chef who makes stuff as you order it. If you order 1 of each, they will give you 1 cut piece of each, so you might want to order a few of whatever you want, so you don't have to keep getting up. There is wasabi and soy sauce to the side. For sushi lovers, it's a GREAT deal!
betsyrossapk Posted February 14, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2005 On the Inspiration, there was no charge for the Sushi Bar. The day I tried it, there were 4 items on the menu & I tried 3 of them, but don't remember the names.
workinmomof3 Posted February 14, 2005 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2005 THere was not advance notice of what the sushi ws going to be. Also, we did the 8:00 dinner, so we would go for sushi (to quench hunger pangs!) then relax, then go to dinner!
jiggs Posted February 14, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2005 on the valor two weeks back they had it listed in the caper...it was free and it was 'basic' stuff...all the things we saw were some type of roll, mostly surrounding salmon or crab, nothing too exotic... There was always a line, but he was always smiling, and always gave you whatever you asked for. :) Bill
SevenVII Posted February 16, 2005 #11 Share Posted February 16, 2005 California Roll, other days they had Spice crawfish, Rainbow Roll, EEL a shrimp roll, caviar roll, Samon Roll, Whitefish Roll and A Tuna Roll. In addition to these I had cucumber roll - which was my favorite out of all of them. The only night the Sushi bar wasnt open was formal night. CruiseVirginfromBrooklyn Posted February 16, 2005 Author #12 Share Posted February 16, 2005 Good to know! Thanks all! Does anyone know if they use real crab in the California Rolls? Doesn't matter but, it would be a nice touch since it's my favorite sushi roll...
SevenVII Posted February 17, 2005 #13 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I would say yes, it tasted like real crab to me anyway.
JrMafia90 Posted February 17, 2005 #14 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I don't eat sushi so I wouldn't know how it was. But I know it's free and I don't think they had a menu.
