MercedMike Posted September 15, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2010 Ein Gedi is a very beautiful place in the middle of the desert. It is easy to visualize the guerilla leader David standing on the cliffs and yelling down to King Saul encamped at the oasis, as the Old Testament describes. It means "Well of the Ibex" and there is a herd of ibex wandering the place. If you have a chance to stop there on your way to Masada and the Dead Sea it is well worth a visit. We have a couple of pictures of it at http://www.bully4.us/holyland2.html
