caribe deck

We haven't sailed on the Caribbean however the deck plan appears to be like the Caribe deck on the Coral, Star & Golden. We prefer Caribe deck balconies because they're the largest & most readily available standard balcony available. It's twice the size of most other balconies & halfway covered with 2 recliners, 2 chairs & a table.

In fact we prefer them (particularly mid-ship BA cabins) to a mini-suite...we prefer the larger covered balcony vs a couch & tub but others may think we're crazy.

We get a nice location as low & mid-ship as possible to give my wife the most stable ride possible. It works for her on our 25+ cruises...along with some meclizine (generic Bonine) when it gets rough.

Hope this helps...we enjoy Caribe so much that for next fall's cruise to New England & Canada we've booked a Cat J inside cabin. We booked an inside cabin because current pricing is much higher so far in advance & our last cruise there it rained so much that we rarely used our balcony.

considering Caribe 409 on Caribbean Princess. Anyone have info?

We've had C414 & C426 & C259. Can't go wrong with your choice - super midship location and you're close to both mid & forward elevator and the laundry! We had a free upgrade to a mini one year and wish we had kept our Caribe. Caribe categories BA & BB are best bang for the buck in our opinion and we absolutely love the balcony. Soon to be in C753 (aft corner) so that will be another treat...:D
