jdlewis Posted February 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2005 DH and I are doing the Doc dance. Does anyone know if it is possible to ship our Cruise clothes back to Canada from San Diego? We have a land holiday after we arrive in port, will be spending a week touring Arizona then three days in Vegas before we fly home to Calgary. We don't really want to haul around the stuff we don't need. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks Janette and Bob
LOGHL Posted February 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2005 there are a number of concerns that ship luggage...we have done it a few times, and it is great. The internet will give you a number of names, then you can pick the one that is best for you.
Budd Posted February 17, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2005 Hi Just looked at my Celebrity Docs. Their is a page that says you can ship your luggage via Fed Ex directly from the ship when your cruise ends. Hope this helps.
A J Theodore Posted February 17, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2005 I have used International Port Services. Located in Washington state. There is an "800" number but I don't have it off hand. Expensive but very good. I just don't know whether they provide service to Canada.

I would definately recommend calling Captains Club for more information. As another poster mentioned, Celebrity has a program with FedEx, and I hear it works out quite well. I have not used it though. Enjoy your Cruise !

We did the same thing after the land portion (but before the cruise portion) of our Celebrity cruise tour in Alaska. We packed a lot of the heavier items and, uh, "pre-worn" items (is that delicate enough?) in boxes and used the good old USPS to ship them home from Talkeetna. It was great! With the weight charges fully back in-force with the airlines, it make a lot of sense to lighten the load. Have a great cruise!
