Kruz Guys Posted October 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2010 ;) On another Celebrity ship several years ago in a Baltic cruise, there was a Michael's Club and we never had any problems going there any time for a drink. Is Michael's Club on the Summit different? Do you have to be an Elite status to go Michael's Club or is there a special time when it is closed to everyone but Elite status members? We are in one of the Penthouse Suites on the Summit in December and would like to enjoy Michae's Club. It looks very relaxing. The one on our other cruise was great. Thanks for any replies and clarifications. :D

Outside of these times, Michael's is open to anyone.

Perhaps someone who has occupied a superior suite can give more detailed advice based on a sweet experience. ;)

Often people in the highest level of suites (Penthouse and Royal) do, but it is not a guarantee. Even people who do not get to go the the Elite event at Michael's do not really miss out on the use of this venue, as the Elite event is over at 6pm and I do not believe Michael's was open prior to 6pm before the Elite event starting occurring. gracecarmo Posted October 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 1, 2010 On our recent cruise on the Summit (9-12) the Elite cocktails were held up in the Bar at the Edge. There were over 200 Elites on board. So, if there are many Elites they will not use Michael's Club. We had a RS and did get a comp dining the first evening in the Specialty. It depends on the Hotel/Dining mgr. if this is offered.

Kruz Guys Posted October 4, 2010 Author #8 Share Posted October 4, 2010 I just received the following email from Celebrity's Crystal Murray (Celebrity Experience Coordinator) "The complementary Specialty dining is for guests on our Solstice class ships only. Secondly, the Michael's Club Happy Hour, is for Elite Captain Club members only". Oh well...... :)
gracecarmo Posted October 4, 2010 #9 Share Posted October 4, 2010 Don't give up on getting a comp. dinner if you are in a Suite. The dinner could be offered at will according to the Hotel Mgr. Keep an eye out for a little sign-in desk for the Specialty near the counter where the Suites check in. Hope you luck out!

Another traveler just returned two weeks ago from a Summit cruise and said they got a comp dinner the first night. Things look good. ;) :D
