CounselorCruiser Posted October 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2010 Question ... on the first night of a Millennium cruise so they just 'herd you in' for the meal or do you go to your assigned table. I'm wondering if this would be a good night to hit the specialty restaurant. Thanks! Parnelli

I like eating in the Specialty Restaurants the first night, usually not crowded and you get great service..The only downside is you will probably want to go back for another night.. Lsimon Posted October 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2010 We've sailed from San Juan three times. the first two were late sailings (10 or 11PM). Dinner seating was assigned early or late for that first night only as you boarded and you were seated at tables as you entered the dining room - not at your assigned tables that first night. So it was more like open seating than the normal assigned seating but still two seating times. On our most recent cruise last March on the Millennium sailing was at 8:30PM and the dinner times were normal fixed times at your regular times and tables.
