LindaKE Posted November 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2010 What types of shows does HAL typically offer in the theater on a 7 day? Several years ago, Princess had 2 basic shows, a comedy and a broadway type, which were repeated a couple of times each on our cruise. Does HAL do this or do they offer something new each night? Also, what do they do in the theater and other venues when the ships departs a port late? (Ours departs Juneau at 10:00 pm.) Is it usual activities or are offerings scaled back? Himself Posted November 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2010 I was on a 7 day cruise on the Eurodam a few weeks back and we had the Singers and Dancers of the Eurodam perform two or three times and we had a Magician--James Cielen--who was excellent and then we had Joel Mason who is a big HAL favorite. Hope this helps. I know Jame Celien will be on the Erodam for the next few months.
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2010 On a night when a ship stays in port late -- they usually show a Big Scene Movie in the show lounge. Then around 11 or 11:30 there will either be an Indonesian or Filipino Crew show.
G&G Posted November 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2010 Hal changed their schedule in the showroom/theater 1-1/2 years ago. This is what to expect on a 7 day cruise. 1. One show at 9:30 or 10 PM on first and last night of cruise. 2. Last night show is usually an "all star" show with two entertainers from previous nights 3. First night show is quick introductions by Cruise Director plus one dance number from singers and dancings plus a comic / singer / or magician 4. Two or three nights are singers and dancers each show different 4. Other nights professional entertainers When ship is in port overnight or late, HAL may show a movie or bring local entertainers on the ship.
